In and around Burnham-on-Sea there are lots of offerings for those interested in sporting activities.

Burnham united is a local football club that was formed in 1967. The clubs aim is to provide footballing opportunities for young local players. Burnham have a wide range of age groups going from under 7s up to under 16s. These junior teams all play matches in either the Woodspring junior league or the taunton youth league. The clubs colours are burgundy and blue which is used on all junior kits.
Burnbridge wanderers are a football club which was founded in 1999. The club is a community based football club. Burnbridge provide competitive football teams from under 6s up to under 16s. Burnbridge play all of their home games at the King Alfred’s school and academy playing fields and are a part of the Woodspring junior league or the Taunton youth leagues. The home colours for Burnbridge wanderers are a traditional black and blue. You will see these colors on the junior kits as black and blue stripes.
East Huntspill cricket club is a local club that provide many opportunities. They have multiple teams with different levels of skill having a first team and a second team. They also have a T20 team which is great if you’re looking for some midweek action. They also have chances for younger players to get involved with having an under 15's team, an under 13's team and an all stars team for players aged 5 – 8 years old. The seniors team play there games on weekends in the west somerset league with the first eleven being in the first division and the second team being in the fourth division.
The Burnham on sea cricket club was established in 1861. The home ground is located on Stoddens road but is commonly known as the BASC ground. Burnham’s first team is currently in the first division of the somerset cricket league and the second team being in the seventh division of the somerset cricket league.
Burnham rugby club was formed in 1887 and are based at the Burnham Association of Sports Clubs. Burnham provide rugby teams from under 7’s up to under 16’s with an under 18s team for the juniors. For the senior sides there is a first team and second team. The clubs colors are a standard blue and white which you will see in stripes on all of the match day kits.
Avenue Tennis Club – Burnham-on-Sea
Our aim at the Avenue Tennis Club is to have great tennis and clubhouse facilities open to all standards of playing members and to encourage social and competitive tennis for all ages and abilities including minority groups and players with disabilities., all this in a club with an atmosphere that is relaxed, friendly and welcoming, why not come along and join us.
Lympsham Tennis Club is a friendly club and has opportunities for all standards of
player whether you are a beginner or seasoned player. The Club has two all-weather
floodlit courts. Our Club Coach provides coaching opportunities for juniors and adults.
Burnham on Sea Harriers is a local friendly running club that supports runners of all abilities
in the Burnham on Sea, Highbridge and surrounding areas. The club has an active
membership that run in races locally, nationally and globally and organises three annual
events: The Pawlett Plod, the Burnham on Sea half marathon and Brent Knoll race.
The club meets for its weekly club run on Tuesday evenings, although members organise
other social runs throughout the week. We also provide the core volunteering team for the
Burnham and Highbridge parkrun every Saturday morning. New members are always
welcome. Coaching is available for runners wishing to improve their performance or to
support training for a race or event.
